Besoin d’évasion

Need for escape

This illustration marks the contrast between the stillness of the body and the restlessness of the mind.

Red is the color of strong emotions. The all-red body cries out for adventure, renewal and joy. The uniformity of the color of the body and the background also shows the boredom, emptiness or sense of insignificance experienced by this body in search of escape. It also shows that the body does not live if the mind is not engaged.

Here, the protruding eye of the character symbolizes a thirst for seeing, the need to stimulate this sense more than the others. We read there the desire to contemplate a cheerful and luminous horizon, where we guess that life is good. There is also a form of sadness there, a tear retained under the pupil.

This character lives on hope. Soon we will be able to travel again.
